This system included 4 - 4x10 solar collector panels installed on the south facing roof of the house.

The pool is a kidney shaped 12x24 pool, mostly covered by shade. The GSS team placed the panels to optimize the solar energy to heat the pool. The existing water pump is utilized with a new 3-way valve to power water through the solar collectors.

The solar pool heater increased the water temperature about 10 degrees warmer than the air temperature and will be used to cool the pool in the late summer.

The family now enjoys their pool without worrying about the rising costs of energy.
