440wp battery backup stand alone system

Louisiana Homepower, a division of Gulf South Solar supplied and installed this 440wp battery backup stand alone PV system.

The photovoltaic system is powered by 4 – 110 watt GE modules. They are configured in 1 string of 4 to produce approximately 26.4 amps @ 12 vdc and are combined at the panels.

The modules are mounted on a single roof-mounted PowerFab rack that is located above the utility room.

The DC voltage from the modules is isolated from the charge controller/ inverter with proper fusing.

A Xantrax XPower 1750 inverter take the solar input DC from the module string and outputs 120 VAC to it's own built-in power outlets.

A bank of 4 group 27 flooded batteries are charged with the dual ASC charge controllers.
